Alexander Vindman (born June 06, 1975) is a Ukrainian-born American Army Officer and Lieutenant Colonel from Kyiv, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union. He is best known as a combat veteran of the Iraq War.
The officer even earned a Purple Heart award in his successful career. Currently, Vindman works as a lieutenant colonel. In 2008, he became an army foreign area officer specializing in Eurasia.
Furthermore, in 2018, he joined the National Security Council staff as Director for European Affairs. Recently, on October 28, 2019, Alexander testified before the US Congress regarding President Donald Trump’s interactions with Ukraine.
According to an official statement, the officer stated that it is not fine to investigate a U.S. citizen by a foreign government. He even said that he is concerned about the implications for the U.S. government’s support of Ukraine.
